Why is ThermaSkirt® better than a radiator?

Thermaskirt® and Renewable Energy Systems
Renewable energy sources such as GSHP and Solar require compatible heating systems to maximise efficiency and to warm quickly. ThermaSkirt® is manufactured from an aluminium alloy that is 5 times more effective at radiating heat than traditional steel radiators. The greater surface area of the Regency OG profile makes it suitable for such applications, as well as being appropriately designed for more traditional homes and extensions. The smaller Urban LT may be used in upstairs applications such as bedrooms and lofts, as it can often provide adequate heating for suitably insulated properties, even at 40°C flow temperature.
In highly demanding situations such as all-glass conservatories, loft conversions or poorly insulated properties, the Regency OG can deliver over 700btu (210 W) per metre length to heat virtually any space.

How we became a Thermaskirt® distributor and installer
We first came across Thermaskirt® when we were asked to install an air source heat pump into a refurbished home in Capel Bangor, Aberystwyth. The customer was keen to fit Thermaskirt® throughout the whole property but we were very sceptical about both whether it would be able to dissipate the heat being generated by the heat pump or whether it compliment the heat pump in providing the correct and controllable level of heating and comfort required.
Following some discussions with Discrete Heat and our own design calculations it was clear that our concerns were unjustified. The heat pump and Thermaskirt® system was installed and worked so well with our core business of supplying and installing renewable energy systems, we decided that we would become a distributor and installer ourselves.
