Confused about how renewable energy can benefit you?

"I’ve got multiple and separate heating systems, can I replace them all with one renewable energy system?

"What is the service schedule and maintenance requirement?"     "Does solar only work in the summer?"

What are the estimate CO² emission reductions?    "Can I get a grant?"

"Can I have solar hot water with a heat pump or wood pellet, if so, what would be the benefit?"

"What are the likely cost savings and payback?"    "Can I use a heat pump with radiators?"

"What are the pros and cons of wood pellet boiler, heat pump, PV and micro-hydro?"

"How much electricity will solar PV provide me with?"

"I have a stream running adjacent to my property; can I use micro-hydro?What is the likely cost savings and payback?"

Then why not get your existing heating and hot water system surveyed by us and we will provide a report detailing renewable energy options and their suitability for your property.

Activities and Deliverables from Renewable Energy Heating Survey

The survey will require a site visit to assess the following:-

  • Building and system heat losses including insulation assessment

  • Existing pipework and plumbing arrangements including pipe runs, dimensions and pressure losses

  • System flows, temperature and pressure measurements incoming and distributed

  • System controls including thermostats and programmers and heating type

  • Safety including high temperature and pressure relief controls

  • System accessibility, ease of upgrade and / or additional installation

  • Electrical assessment (visual only)

  • Bacteria control including legionella

  • Water regulations non conformance

Following survey a report will be drafted which will include the results of the activities above as well as renewable

energy options and their suitability for the building being assessed. This report will also include a schematic of

the system as it currently exists.
