Micaul Solar Comfort Cooling Giving you a relaxing night for a stressful tomorrow
The Unique Air Conditioning system that fits into your loft
If you have ever suffered from lack of or continuously interrupted sleep during those hot summer nights, you will have experienced the tiredness and lack of concentration that can result during the following day.
Just consider how this may potentially impact your performance and effectiveness particularly if you work in a in a highly stressful and demanding environment such as surgery!
Our comfort cooling system which can be installed into existing or new buildings extracts uncomfortable warm air from a bedroom or landing, filters it, cools it with air from outside and delivers cooled, filtered air back directly into your bedroom to help you get a more comfortable nights sleep and help overcome that next day tiredness.
LOFTY is a thermostatically controlled domestic cooling unit which provides cooling air for delivery through four ceiling outlets and extraction of temperate air either from one centrally located ceiling vent, or from individual room vents. Air cooling is achieved by means of a rotary compressor, condenser and evaporator units containing environmentally friendly refrigerant gas. Condenser cooling is effected by means of air (drawn from within the roof space or from outside) which is mechanically drawn across both the compressor and the condenser heat exchanger by the condenser fan. The cooling air is then discharged through ducting to the outside of the house.
LOFTY consists of a Cooling Unit, Evaporative Fan Unit and Condenser Fan Unit. The fan units are each secured to the main Cooling Unit by means of four overcentre rigid fasteners whilst electrical connection between the fan units and the Cooling unit is achieved using multi pole plugs and chassis mounted multi pole sockets.
The Cooling unit contains an electronic defrost timer, with a duty cycle of one hour and an off period of four minutes (nominal). This causes the compressor to be switched off for four minutes every duty cycle to prevent icing within the Evaporator heat exchanger.
In order to prevent damage to the compressor by unnecessary operation of the control thermostat, an electronic on delay timer is incorporated in the cooling unit, which sets a delay of four minutes to the compressor ON signal from the control thermostat signal.
A Head Pressure Controller senses the temperature of the condensing coil and automatically adjusts the speed of the Condenser Fan to provide system stability, and also assists in the prevention of icing within the Evaporator heat exchanger.
